What is the organizational structure of the department?
The department divisions are Investigations, which includes
detectives, the community policing team and crime impact
team. Patrol, which includes uniformed patrol, K-9, motorcycle
unit, D.A.R.E. and mounted patrol. Records, which includes
the clerical staff.
What is the application process?
The application process is conducted in accordance with
the Civil Service Rules and Regulations for the Borough
of Chambersburg. If you are interested in applying for a

How do you pay a traffic citation?
Traffic citations are paid at the office of the District
Justice at 218 North Second Street, Chambersburg, Pa.
How do you pay a parking ticket?
Parking tickets can be paid at the Borough Municipal Building
at 100 South Second Street. These tickets can either be
paid at the front desk in the Finance Department, the Police
Department, or the Borough's drive-up window.

The primary mission statement for the department is to protect
the lives and property of its citizens by maintaining civil
order through enforcement of state laws and borough ordinances.
